Chesterfield Police Dispatch

The Chesterfield Police Department provides a wide range of dispatch services for both Chesterfield Township and the City of New Baltimore.

Chesterfield Township is approximately 26 square miles in size and has an estimated 40,000 residents. The City of New Baltimore is approximately 5 square miles in size with an estimated 10,000 residents.

The Dispatch Center currently employs full time dispatchers that have received various training courses including but not limited to the following: Law Enforcement Information Network (LEIN), Emergency Medical, CPR and Fire Dispatch Training courses.

The Chesterfield Police Dispatch Center fields approximately 300 telephone calls daily. It is the responsibility of the Dispatcher to determine from these phone calls which dispatch services are needed, such as a Police Officer to take a routine report, or fire/rescue for a medical call. Other dispatch duties include taking information from callers, radio dispatch, running LEIN queries, phoning of utility companies and dispatching medical assistance when needed.
